Energy Code Certificates prepares permit-ready residential and light-commercial energy compliance certificates (DOE REScheck-Web and COMcheck-Web) and HVAC heating and cooling load calculations (ANSI/ACCA Manual J 8th Edition, Manual S Equipment Selection, and Manual D Duct Sizing) for builders, architects, HVAC contractors, and homeowners across the United States.

Standards & Licensing Disclosure

All envelope compliance reports are prepared in accordance with the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC 2009, 2012, 2015, 2018, 2021, and 2024 editions) and applicable state energy codes using DOE REScheck-Web. All residential heating and cooling load calculations follow ANSI/ACCA 2 Manual J (8th Edition) and ANSI/ACCA 3 Manual S procedures as referenced by IRC Section M1401.3 and IECC Section R403.7.

In the vast majority of US residential jurisdictions, energy compliance certificates and Manual J/S load calculations are accepted signed by the preparer without a Professional Engineer (PE) seal. Our reports are signed by us as the preparer. If your specific building department requires a state-licensed PE or Registered Architect seal, the architect or engineer sealing your construction drawings may review and stamp the calculation sheets, or you should verify local sealing rules prior to ordering. We do not provide California Title 24 Part 6 CF1R performance registration.
