Terms of Service

Effective Date: October 21, 2026

By placing an order with Energy Code Certificates ("we", "us"), you agree to the following terms governing the preparation of REScheck, COMcheck, and ACCA Manual J / S / D calculation reports:

1. Scope of Services

We prepare energy code compliance documentation and heating/cooling load calculations based strictly on the architectural drawings, assembly R-values, fenestration ratings, and equipment specifications supplied by the client. Our reports are prepared and signed as an unlicensed third-party energy and load calculation preparer as permitted under the IECC and IRC for residential construction. We do not provide licensed Professional Engineering (PE) or Architectural stamping.

2. Client Verification & Field Installation

The builder, contractor, designer, or homeowner of record is responsible for verifying that all insulation R-values, window NFRC U-factor and SHGC labels, air-sealing details, duct insulation, and installed HVAC equipment on the jobsite match the values specified in the compliance report.

3. Revisions & Limitation of Liability

Each order includes up to three (3) free revisions for plan examiner comments or minor specification updates on the same building footprint. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to a report shall not exceed the fee paid for that report.
